Start your journey in the culturally rich royal city of Marrakech and explore the Atlantic coast with stops at the port towns of Essaouira and Taghazout. Next, immerse yourself in the seclusion of the Sahara desert with a camelback ride or an Offroad-Jeep tour to explore the secrets of the desert and enjoy the peacefulness amidst the highest sand dunes in the region. Continue your adventure with a visit to the nearby cultural centers of Tamegroute and Zagora before heading to the majestic Atlas Mountains. We’ll start our day by leaving Marrakech in the morning and heading towards Essaouira, a charming coastal town on the Atlantic Ocean. Essaouira is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has a rich cultural history, having attracted famous personalities such as Jimi Hendrix. We’ll spend some time exploring the city’s artistic and musical vibes before continuing our journey along the stunning Atlantic coast.

Our next stop will be the quaint fishing village of Taghazout, where we’ll have plenty of time to soak up the maritime atmosphere and the natural beauty of this hidden gem. Here, you can enjoy the freshly caught fish and take in the sights and sounds of this vibrant village.

For dinner and the night, we’ll stay in a comfortable hotel in Taghazout, where you can relax and unwind after an eventful day.

On Day 3, we depart from Taghazout after breakfast and embark on a journey towards the interior of the country, passing through Agadir along the way. Our next destination is the charming oasis town of Taliouine, where we can experience the seclusion and tranquility of the rugged, scree-like hilly landscape with its green oases and palm groves. This is a great opportunity to get a feel of the soul of South Morocco, as the new impressions we encounter stand in stark contrast to the maritime landscape of the Atlantic. We will go for a small hike through the palm groves, and for those interested, there is an optional visit to a feminist carpet cooperative, where we can learn about the traditional carpet-making process.

We will have lunch with our Berber hosts, an opportunity to get closer to the locals and experience the Moroccan hospitality. For the night and dinner, we will continue our journey to the palm oasis of Foum Zguid, where we will stay in a quiet, traditional guesthouse. This is a chance to immerse ourselves in the beautiful oases and palm groves of the region and experience the beauty and serenity of this part of Morocco

We embark on our desert adventure! Crossing the arid Iriki lake, we make our way towards the vast Sahara. On clear days, we may even witness Fata Morganas. Our experienced desert guide ABDELHADI takes us to discover the fascinating fossils of ancient times. If it’s a school day, we will visit a nomadic school to learn more about their way of life and enjoy a cup of tea with the locals. After a satisfying lunch and a break for tea, we mount our Dromedaries and head towards the Erg Chegaga, the largest sand dune in the area, where our desert camp awaits. We explore the breathtaking dunes and marvel at the spectacular sunset over the Sahara. Following a refreshing shower, we gather around the campfire for a delicious dinner, and then retire to our cozy nomadic tents. Spending the night under the sparkling starry sky is highly recommended.

Our day begins with an exhilarating off-road jeep excursion through the sand dunes of the Sahara. We venture into the neighboring stone desert, exploring important landmarks of ancient desert caravans. With the guidance of our skilled guides, we might have the opportunity to engage with the last nomadic tribe of the region for a friendly exchange and some relaxing tea. Afterward, we recharge our energy in the holy oasis of Oum Lâalag before continuing to Tamegroute. Here we visit the library, which houses ancient copies of the Koran from the 12th century, and the well-known ceramic cooperative. Our next stop is the charming town of Zagora, where we explore the ancient, still inhabited Jewish Kasbah of Amezrou. The Kasbah and the Cooperative Museum, which we visit, are exclusive insider tips known mostly to the locals. For dinner and a peaceful night’s sleep, we will be staying at a cozy guesthouse in Zagora.

Our journey takes us from the charming Berber town of Tinghir back towards Zagora. Along the way, we traverse the stunning Draa Valley, passing through the picturesque towns of Tazzarine and Alnif. We may even make a stop in Alnif to explore its vibrant market and take care of any necessary tasks. As we reach Tinghir, we are treated to awe-inspiring views of the majestic Atlas Mountains. The highlight of the day is a short but exhilarating hike to the Boumalne Gorges, where we can marvel at the grandeur of Morocco’s mountains up close. Our evening is spent in a cozy hotel nestled in the midst of this breathtaking scenery.

With our knowledgeable regional tour guide leading the way, we’ll have plenty of opportunities to discover the unique customs and traditions of this vibrant region. While in Ouarzazate, we’ll have the option to visit the historic Kasbah Taourirt, a must-see for any history buff.

As the day draws to a close, we’ll travel to the tranquil Fint Oasis, located amidst the rocky and barren landscape of Southern Morocco. Here, we’ll have ample time to unwind and reflect on the many experiences and cultural encounters we’ve had during our trip. Take a refreshing dip in the pool, savor a cool drink, or explore the oasis on foot – the choice is yours.

Today marks our return to civilization as we leave the peaceful Fint Oasis and journey towards Marrakech. Our first stop is the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ait Ben Haddou, where we can explore the fascinating architecture and rich history of this ancient city.

Continuing on, we’ll pass through the medieval mountain village of Telouet, with its enchanting old Kasbah that exudes a unique charm despite its worn condition. As we traverse the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass, we’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.

Finally, we’ll reach our destination: the vibrant city of Marrakech. Dinner will be served at the bustling Djemaa el Fna, where we’ll have the chance to indulge in the delicious cuisine and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of this famous square. Our night will be spent in a traditional riad, offering a glimpse into the rich culture and traditions of this exciting city.
